So it is official now. I am going to be leaving Cerner, where I have been working for the past year, and joining Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, CA! Many of you already knew that I was moving to that area, but it wasn’t official for what company. I had job offers from both Google and Yahoo. I ended up choosing Yahoo…and am very excited about this position, as well as about moving to the Bay Area!
Now you all have a reason to visit me! I guess no one wanted to come to Kansas City
I will be moving there in mid-October, and starting work on October 17th. Will keep you updated with the details =D I’m just glad I can talk about the whole thing now publicly!
And so the most faithful lady in my life has left me! My beautiful Jetta…she put me through rough and tough and made me a stronger man. I have found a great new home for her, Indianapolis! I wish her luck and the new owner the same good fortune I’ve had with this car. Thank you for the times
So the time has come to sell my Jetta! I’ve had this car throughout college, and now since I am moving to California, it is time for me to sell it. It is kind of sad, as I’ve had so many good memories in this car and it has served me well…but like George Harrison said, all things must pass, and so must this car. I am looking for a good home for this car. I’ve priced it to sell ($2990) well below the blue book value. I’ve had some good response after putting it up on my company’s classifieds for a day, hopefully I’ll be able to sell it by the end of this week!
I actually also “ordered” an ad in the news paper classifieds, but after getting so much response just on my company classifieds, I called and had them cancel and refund my order for the ad (they hadn’t even printed it yet). Hopefully I won’t need it!
Also, I know I still haven’t posted about my future plans yet, I will soon to make it official to the world
This Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Brian’s wedding in Paris. Paris, Kentucky It was an awesome wedding, and I’m really happy for both of them. The two newly weds are on your right…
Below is a pic of Matt and I at the wedding…studs!
There have been some interesting developments in my life recently. I can’t talk about them yet, but I will let you all know soon. I’ve been busy the last week or so mainly with those developments…which is why I haven’t written much.
On a side note, I hope you are enjoying the dynamic list of songs I play on the right…because I am kind of getting addicted to that list myself. I will be adding more analysis of my music listening eventually. I was thinking about having some sort of a weekly top 10 page or something. Something for me to have for myself. Anyway, that’s where that is
Whooppala Gasolina (something like that)! I am full with my 1/2 soup 1/2 sandwich meal from Panera (somehow still…though it’s been 5 hrs since I ate). I just started again reading some of my . So many good memories…and feelings they brought back. They are all unique, not all of them real, but some of them surely not fake.
Suddenly I am looking around…this empty office…this empty 5th floor (yes, I am on the 5th floor now)…and for some reason I am similing. What a wonderful world this is. I have to admit, I must be drunk from these few songs I have started being addicted to (Kishore Kumar’s Humen Tumse Pyar Kitna…and La Gasolina by Daddy Yankee), but still, it’s a nice place isn’t it? At least for me…at least right now…
Humen Tumse pyaaar kitna…yeh hum nahi janate…magar jee nahi sakte…tumhare binaaaaaa — Sing with me everyone! Humeen tum se pyaaaaaar…
As you may have just noticed, now, on the right side bar of the front page of my blog, you can see a dynamic list of the 10 songs I’ve listened to the most in the last 3 days! This can give you some insight into what songs I am currently addicted to and listening to…for those of you who care
I may post here a bit later how I programmed this song tracking engine for those of you who are curious and for those who want to have similar features in your own blog
Ok, now back to studying! Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend (and that those who have family or are themselves involved in the Katrina disaster are seeing some hope for their lives in the future).
