Elements of “entrepreneurship” can be found in all studies and areas of mastery around us. Sometimes as ambition for a successful venture for profit or sometimes as an effort to raise the bar for serving humanity. Even, apparently, on the silver screen. During my latest viewing of the Bollywood all-time great film Sholay, I found it to be filled with lessons for myself. I was inspired to compile these learnings in a presentation, complete with photos and sound clips from the movie
Get some popcorn, a notebook, and enjoy the learning and laughter in, “Jo Dar Gaya, Samjho Mar Gaya: Lessons in Entrepreneurship from Sholay.”

Hahaha.. nice one.. I have watched Sholay atleast 5-6 times, but never linked to Entrepreneurship. Great Inspiration. However, after viewing your presentation, I cudnt resist myself to drop my thoughts on those lessons :
1 : See positive – Grabbing oppurtunities,
2 : Being Brave – Risk management
3 : Adapt/Chnage quickly – According to External Factors and People’s sentiments
4 : Demand quality – Wudnt tht say more of Productivity
5 : Be great at selling your product – Agreed, hahaha thts my fav scene in the whole film
6 : Building Brand – Latest Eg: Accenture dumps Tiger woods
7 : There isn’t always happy ending – I particularly dont agree with this. “If its not a happy ending then it is not the ending yet” This is always a way out, you just need to search tht or rather work for it.
8 : Success is more abt persistence than intelligence. – Agreed
9: You cant do it just for money – Money is never the bare motivator for anything, either Money is a wrapper around the actual need or it is not at all motivator.
10: Jo Dar gaya samjho mar gaya – This always holds.
Apart from this worth watching bollywood movie – Guru.. Some excerpts – “‘Naa’ Shabd mujhe sunayi nahi deta”, “Mein Dhandha karne aaye hun mujhe koi rok nahi sakta”,”Jisko Sone ki chappal chaiye toh soneki, jisko chandi ki chappal chaiye chnadi ki deke mein aaga badta hun” ,”Mein yahi aapke ke bagal mein aake dhandha karunga”
